LUI Women Basic Motorcycle Maintenance Workshop
An Education-Led Initiative by LUI
On 14 February 2026, LUI conducted its first All-Women Basic Motorcycle Maintenance Workshop as a pilot session with Motogals, laying the groundwork to extend this initiative to more women riders moving forward.
Anchored in our Progressive Learning philosophy — the same framework behind our 5-pax Women Safety Riding Course — the workshop was intentionally paced to help participants absorb knowledge step by step, rather than being overwhelmed by a large volume of technical information at once.
The focus was on structured knowledge acquisition. Mechanical concepts were translated into practical, rider-friendly language, enabling participants to understand tyre wear percentages, identify brake pad conditions, recognise servicing indicators, and experience guided hands-on puncture patching demonstrations.
A key pillar of the session was instructional delivery. The workshop was facilitated by Sani, whose extensive experience in imparting riding skills to learners — particularly women riders — ensured that technical content was communicated with clarity and relatability. He also contributed to structuring the session flow to maximise understanding and retention.
Conceptualised & structured by LUI, this session was conducted in collaboration with Atan Motor Supply Pte Ltd, our partner for this initiative, who provided the workshop venue, mechanical expertise, visual reference charts, and technical demonstration support to enhance applied learning.
Through this initiative, LUI continues to build a structured and confidence-driven learning ecosystem — empowering women riders not only in riding technique, but also in ownership literacy and informed communication during servicing.
ROADS Awards 2025 : Road Safety Champion Individual – Peline
Nominated for Road Safety Champion – Individual for ROADS Awards 2025 As both a rider and a driver, Peline understands the road from every angle and she’s using that insight to make it safer for others. From pushing for women-focused rider workshops to starting conversations that bridge confidence and safety, Peline reminds us that road safety is not just about following the rules, it’s about awareness, empathy, and community. Because safer roads start when we all take responsibility, for ourselves, and for each other.

Why Pedagogy Matters in Confidence Riding for Women
We are moving towards offering women riders confidence riding through safety riding — not by pushing limits, but by rebuilding trust through fundamentals, practiced repeatedly in a safe, supported environment.
At the heart of this approach is pedagogy — how riding is taught, not just what is taught.
You Are Not Alone …
If U-turns make you nervous…If slow riding feels harder than fast riding…
Many women riders feel this — even after getting their license. And it doesn’t mean you’re bad at riding.
Confidence Riding, Taught Properly
We help women riders rebuild confidence through safety riding grounded in sound pedagogy — with guided, repeated practice of fundamentals in a safe environment.
Why Pedagogy Matters
Pedagogy allows instructors to identify your stress points and teach what you need, not what they prefer to show. This is how calm, real confidence is built.
Beyond the Pylons
There are no pylons on the road.
Pylons are tools — what matters is you: your balance, coordination, understanding, and calm control.

We partner with Team Mari (Japan) to offer women riders access to Japanese-style safety riding programmes, delivered in Singapore (including our September 2025 session), with plans to extend these learning experiences to Japan.

A milestone for women riders!
On 6 & 7 September 2025, LUI hosted Team Mari’s first-ever overseas, all-female motorcycle lesson outside Japan, led by the legendary Tomo Igata (Team Mari Chairman & FIM Legend). The response was overwhelming and the energy on the range was unforgettable.
This landmark event was created with a clear purpose — to impart safety riding techniques specifically for female riders, equipping them with the confidence and skills needed to enhance their riding on the road.
Thank you for making this event a success!
This event was a huge success thanks to the unwavering support of our event supporter, our sponsors,
and—most of all—our participants who showed up with enthusiasm, determination, and community spirit.
